The Coolmore tradition really begins with a travelling stallion called Edlington, offered to local breeders in Ireland's Blackwater Valley getting on for a century and a half ago. It continues unbroken to this day. The late 20th century was dominated by the perennial Champion National Hunt Sire, Deep run. And the early 21st century, as usual, sees the best young national hunt sires in Europe at the usual address.
