This sire is from the same female family as Northern Dancer line sires NIJINSKY II, REDOUTE’S CHOICE, FAR NORTH, THE MINSTREL (sire of PALACE MUSIC), EL GRAN SENOR, TRY MY BEST (sire of LAST TYCOON) and MASTERCLASS. Try My Best is the sire of CELESTIAL BOUNTY, damsire of Australian Oaks and Arrowfield Stud Stakes winner, Heavenly Glow. Last Tycoon is the damsire of stakes winner Perfect Feeling.
Nijinsky II has already produced two stakes winners by Spinning World in the Northern Hemisphere. Spinning World has opportunity in Australasia to meet with sons of Nijinsky II such as YEATS, CAERLEON, ROYAL ACADEMY, WESTERN SYMPHONY, WHISKEY ROAD, SERHEED and BLETCHLEY PARK.
Other family representatives such as XAAR, UMATILLA, GIELGUD and EXPLODING PROSPECT can reinforce Spinning World’s tail female line. A Umatilla mare has already produced a Group 3 winner by Spinning World. Umatilla’s half brother HURRICANE SKY is also appealing.
Group One winner Thorn Park is out of a BLUEBIRD mare. Stakes winner Spinning Lucy is out of a DOLPHIN STREET (by Bluebird) mare Other Northern Dancer line sires that have stakes performers by Spinning World include MISTER C, DESERT SUN, SLANT and DAYJUR, who are sons/grandsons of DANZIG.
Group One winner Special Harmony is out of a MAROONED (Mill Reef) mare.
The MR. PROSPECTOR line is also proving popular with Spinning World, in particular FORTY NINER, whose daughters have produced three stakes performers with Spinning World. VARICK produced the dam of Group 2 winner, Kosi Bay.
Spinning World’s duplication of Northern Dancer will benefit by the presence of STAR KINGDOM via his sire descendants such as LUSKIN STAR, MARSCAY, BLETCHINGLY, KAORU STAR, STAR WATCH and PLANET KINGDOM. Group One winner Lyrical Bid is out of a JEVINGTON (by TODMAN) mare.
Northern Dancer’s tail female ‘relatives’ such as HALO (sire of DON’T SAY HALO, SUNDAY SILENCE, MORE THAN READY and OREGON), MACHIAVELLIAN (sire of VETTORI and EL MOXIE) create positive patterns with Spinning World. A Machiavellian mare has already produced Group One winner Ancient World with Spinning World and a Listed placed runner. Halo son DEVIL’S BAG has produced two stakes winners by Spinning World. DON’T SAY HALO looks particularly appealing as he also sex balances Never Bend.
Nureyev’s damsire Forli works very well with Round Table, who can be accessed through mares by SIR TRISTRAM (who also sex balances Sir Ivor), his sons ZABEEL, GROSVENOR, DR. GRACE, SOVEREIGN RED and MARAUDING. Cyberiad, a Listed winner, is out of a Sir Tristram mare.
SEATTLE SLEW is also working very well with Spinning World. Australian Group 2 winner Coupe, as well as two Northern Hemisphere stakes winners, are from this line.
Mares carrying HABITAT (by broodmare sires such as GRAND LODGE, ARCH SCULPTOR, BASSENTHWAITE, HABITUATE and CHIMES SQUARE) should also work well, reinforcing Spinning World’s second damsire, Northfields. Group One winner Arlingtonboulevard carries Habitat on his sire line.
