Flemensfirth is tops at Tatts

13th November 2008

Flemensfirth is enjoying a great spell on the racecourse and his youngsters have been all the rage at Tattersalls Ireland’s ongoing November Sale with a 95,000 euros foal topping Wednesday’s trade.

Out of the G2 Adonis Juvenile Hurdle winner and G1 Champion Hurdle third Bilboa (by Phantom Breeze), the Flemensfirth colt was sold from Joerg and Diana Vasicek’s Kenilworth House Stud.

Aiden Murphy bought the April-born colt as a racing prospect on behalf of Graham Roach. Murphy said: "Graham asked me to buy the two nicest foals in the sale and that’s what I’ve tried to do. This colt was a really nice sort out of a very good racemare."

Flemensfirth was also responsible for Wednesday’s second-highest price via an 83,000 euros colt out of Cresswell Native (by Be My Native) sold by Mill House Stud and purchased by Gatterstown Stud.

Meanwhile in the yearling section, a filly out of Midnight Pond (by Long Pond) was sold for 56,000 euros by Morning Star Stud to Clonpriest Stud.
