Van Nistelrooy Filly Graduates at Meadowlands

Our Girl Friday (Van Nistelrooy -- Our Pesaridan, by Affirmed) took the win at third asking in a maiden special weight contest at Meadowlands on Wednesday. Bred, owned and trained by Edwin Broome, the two-year-old filly tracked inside from post position five at the start, came back out as the field turned homeward, and steadily closed to take the 6 1/2-furlong test by a nose.
