Stakes Success for Tale of the Cat

Tale of the Cat has enjoyed a sensational year and featured at the weekend when Headsandtales (5g Tale of the Cat x Indian Head Penny, by Waquoit) saluted in the Find Stakes at Laurel.

The Dale Capuano trained gelding took the nine furlong contest on turf by a length and a quarter in taking his record to six wins and nine placings from 29 starts with earnings of $178,080.

A homebred for Skeedattle Associates, Headsandtales is from the stakes-winning mare Indian Head Penny from the family of stakes-winners Shashobegon, Indy Joe and others.

Tale of the Cat is currently running seventh on the general sires list by North American earnings with more than 100 winners of some $6.5 million in prizemoney.
