Model Scores Deserved Stakes Victory

Talented mare Model (4m Giant’s Causeway x Snowfire, by Machiavellian) broke through for her first stakes success when racing clear to win the It’s In The Air Stakes at Hollywood on Sunday.

Second to Carriage Trail in the Group One Spinster Stakes and runner-up to Zenyatta earlier in the season, the Neil Drysdale trained mare took this 1 and 1/16 mile event on the all weather track by a length and three-quarters.

Model has won four races and placed eight times from 13 starts earning $383,536 in prizemoney for her owner Abergwaun Farm.

A valuable commodity as a stakes-winner, Model is from stakes-placed Machiavellian mare Snowfire, a half-sister to Group One winner Preseli.
