G2 for Peintre’s son Trincot

6th October 2008

Trincot (3c Peintre Celebre-Royal Lights, by Royal Academy) landed his biggest success to date at Longchamp on Saturday when winning the G2 Qatar Prix Dollar.

Philippe Demercastel’s charge, who won the G3 Prix de Guiche at Chantilly in May, held on in the 10-furlong event to beat the fast-finishing Loup Breton.

"He was unlucky in the G1 Prix du Jockey-Club and G1 Prix Jean Prat and then had some health problems," said Demercastel.

Trincot, who was bred by Scea Ecurie Bader, could now head to America to contest the Hollywood Derby at the end of November.
