More Ascot black-type for Montjeu

A day after his son Jukebox Jury (2c Montjeu-Mare Aux Fees, by Kenmare) won the G2 Royal Lodge Stakes at Ascot, Montjeu had another black-type success at the track when Metaphoric (4g Montjeu-Virgin Hawk, by Silver Hawk) won the Listed Fenwolf Stakes on Sunday.

Appropriately the four-year-old is trained by Michael Bell for the Royal Ascot Racing Club and he came home to a rapturous reception.

The Royal Ascot Racing Club dedicated the success to member Jackie Parrott, who died two days earlier.

Metaphoric was bred by Gerrardstown House Stud and bought for 145,000 euros by agent John Warren at the 2005 Goffs Million Sale.
