Chintz is latest star Danehill Dancer juvenile
28th September 2008
Danehill Dancer has been enjoying a simply sensational year with his juveniles and the run continued at the Curragh on Sunday when Chintz (2f Danehill Dancer-Gold Dodger, by Slew O’Gold) took the G3 C L Weld Stakes.
Elaine Slattery’s filly, a 250,000 euros graduate of last year’s Arqana August Yearling Sale, powered clear of her rivals in the final furlong to score by a length and three-quarters.
"She had a little break and I felt she wasn't really letting herself down last time she ran when the ground was a bit quick," said David Wachman, who trains the Loughtown Stud-bred Chintz. "She's a very nice filly and one to look forward to next spring over a mile or further."
Danehill Dancer - whose best bred yearlings to date will be on offer over the next three weeks at Goffs and Tattersalls - has also sired the G1-winning juveniles Mastercraftsman and Again and G2 Champagne Stakes winner Westphalia in recent weeks.
