Grand Slam Filly Cruises in Maiden Special at Monmouth

Magic Wand (Grand Slam -- Magical Mood, by Forestry) rolled to a 3 3/4-length win in a maiden special weight contest at Monmouth Park on Sunday. The three-year-old filly, bred and owned by Peter E. Blum, comfortably raced to the lead on the inside and drew clear in the stretch to easily take the 6-furlong race.
