Royal Pleasure in Top Form

Honest mare Royal Pleasure (5m Royal Academy x Pleasure Center, by Diesis) did best in a driving finish to take out the $100,000 Kentucky Cup Ladies Turf Stakes at Kentucky Downs on Saturday.

Trained by Jonathan E Sheppard for the Augustin Stable, Royal Pleasure stalked the pace between horses, shifted to the outside nearing the furlong marker and closed with a late rush take the mile event on turf by a head.

Royal Pleasure has won eight races from 24 starts, earning $364,940 in prizemoney.

Royal Pleasure is a half-sister to Group Three placed In Jest being from the Diesis mare Pleasure Center, a half-sister to Group Three winner Crowd Pleaser from US Group One winner Creaking Board.
