14th Winner for Lion Heart

Lion Heart extended his lead on the US Freshman Sires List when adding his 14^th winner at Ellis Park on Saturday when Hongkong Superstar (2c Lion Heart x Betty’s Solutions by Eltish) saluted on debut.

Trained by Jeffrey D Thornbury, Hongkong Superstar traveled midfield then found the line in good style to win the five and a half furlong event by a length and a half.

A $260,000 purchase from the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, Hongkong Superstar is from Betty’s Solutions, a half-sister to the dam of Group One winner My Trusty Cat, who is by Lion Heart’s sire Tale of the Cat.
