12th Winner for Lion Heart

28th August 2008

Leading freshman sire Lion Heart posted his 12th winner when Thats a Good Thing (2c Lion Heart x Competent Sort, by Cahill Road) saluted at Saratoga on Thursday.

Trained by Steve Asmussen, That’s a Good Thing stumbled badly at the start but recovered to win the six furlong maiden in good style by more than a length improving on a couple of recent placings.

Bred and retained to race by Curtis Green, That’s a Good Thing is from stakes-placed Competent Sort, a daughter of dual Group One winner Coup de Fusil.

Lion Heart is the leading North American first season sire with 12 winners including stakes-winners Azul Leon and Lyin’ Heart, plus stakes-placed horses Pretty Prolific, Cameron Crazies and Bear’s Rocket.
