Stakes-Winner for Thunder Gulch

Evergreen sire Thunder Gulch added a new stakes-winner to his considerable tally when Spy in the Sky (4g Thunder Gulch x Monaassabaat, by Zilzal) took out the marathon Happy Intellectual Stakes at Saratoga.

Run over two and a half miles on turf, the James Day trained gelding prevailed to win by a head, taking his record to three wins from 18 starts with prizemoney in excess of $100,000.

Spy in the Sly is a half-brother to stakes-winner Echo River from stakes-sinnign Zilzal mare Monaassabaat, a daughter of champion US mare It’s In The Air.
