Consistent sprinter Simplest (4h Choisir x Mad Desire, by Covetous) maintained his recent outstanding form when posting his fourth consecutive victory at Doomben on Saturday.
The Barry Baldwin trained entire led throughout under 58kg to win the Class Six event over 1110 metres by more than a length.
Originally a $100,000 Magic Millions purchase from the draft of Yarraman Park Stud, Simplest was previously trained in Victoria, having been sold by his previous owner Lloyd Williams.
Since transferring to Queensland, Simplest has been on fire winning his last four starts in succession, his overall record now six wins and five placings from 15 starts with earnings of $131,500.
Bred by the Dufficy brothers and offered for sale by Yarraman Park as agent, Simplest is a half-brother to stakes-winner Given being the seventh foal of the Covetous mare Mad Desire.
A metropolitan winner up to 1400 metres, Mad Desire is a half-sister to Group Three winners Alert Me and Techniques, being from the family of Group One winning sprinters With Me and Accomplice.
