Stradbroke Winner Booked to Haradasun

1st August 2008

Royal Ascot hero Haradasun will not be short of partners this spring and one high profile mare confirmed to visit the globe-trotting superstar is Group One QTC Stradbroke Handicap winner La Montagna.

Retained to race by her breeders, La Montagna (pictured) proved a tough and talented performer in winning seven of21 starts and over $1million in prizemoney.

“She was a top class racemare and a magnificent looking individual so is a great addition to what is shaping as a very strong book for Haradasun’s first season,” said James Harron of Coolmore.

“Her dam Millennial is also booked in to Holy Roman Emperor and has a really nice just turned two year-old filly by Antonius Pius that has been named The Goddess and is going into work.”

Rated the champion three year-old colt in Australia for the 2006/2007 season, Haradasun claimed international kudos when capturing a Group One victory in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot, so his progeny will undoubtedly command the respect of not just local trainers and agents, but also overseas buyers when it’s time for their turn in the sale ring.

Haradasun stands at Coolmore Australia this spring at a fee of $55,000.
