Group Three Second for Lion Heart Filly

24th July 2008

Smart filly Cameron Crazies (2f Lion Heart x D Hail Mary, by Defensive Play) finished a gallant second in the Group Three Shuylerville Stakes at Saratoga on Wednesday.

She settled off the pace and hit the lead in the straight only to be run down by unbeaten filly Jardin in the six furlong event for juvenile fillies.

A $125,000 purchase from the Ocala Breeders August Yearling Sale, Cameron Crazies has the record of a win and two second placings from just four starts.

Raced by Bobby Hurley's Devil Eleven Stable, she was bred by Majestic Farms and is from the Defensive Play mare D Hail Mary, whose family features Group One winner Nostalgia’s Star.

Cameron Crazies is one of four stakes horses for Lion Heart joining Azul Leon, Lyin’ Heart and Bear’s Rocket.

Lion Heart is currently leading the North American first season sires list from his barn mate Chapel Royal.
