Perfect Win for Well Travelled Mare

Talented mare Perfect Feeling (5m Spinning World x Lady Cairns, by Last Tycoon) returned to peak form at Eagle Farm on Saturday to win the Listed Tatts Mile over 1600 metres by a half neck over Rash Promise.Now raced by Glenlogan Park Stud and trained by Trevor Bailey, Perfect Feeling is a recent acquisition and has won her last two starts for Bailey after transferring from the Peter Moody stable in Melbourne.
A well-travelled mare, Perfect Feeling started her career with Lee Freedman for whom she won the Listed SAJC Laelia Stakes as a three year-old before her owner/breeder Anthony Chow sent her to race in Hong Kong.
The move proved unsuccessful with Perfect Feeling starting 12 times for leading trainer David Ferraris resulting in three second placings, but no wins.
Perfect Feeling boasts the overall record of six wins and 13 placings from 33 starts with $319,421 in prizemoney and is likely to be retired at the end of the season.
She is from the unraced Last Tycoon mare Lady Cairns, whose dam Blue Water Lady is a full sister to Group One winner Drought.
Perfect Feeling is one of 38 stakes-winners worldwide for outstanding sire Spinning World, who is now a permanent resident at Coolmore Australia and will stand this spring at a value fee of $11,000.
