Milan tops Goffs Land Rover Sale

A three-year-old son of Milan topped the 2008 Goffs Land Rover Sale when selling for 92,000 euros on Tuesday to agent Aiden Murphy, acting for owners Russell and Lesley Field.

The gelding was offered from Ballincurrig House Stud for Eugene McDermott’s Kennycourt Stud and is likely to go into training with either Alan King or Philip Hobbs. “He was the only horse that I wanted to bid for today,” said Murphy.

Indeed Milan and another Coolmore sire, Oscar, accounted for four of the top five lots at the Land Rover Sale.
