$1Million for Rock Filly

Quality filly Musidora (3f Rock of Gibraltar x Nice Dancing, by Bering) fetched $1million at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale at the Gold Coast on Tuesday.

Offered to dissolve a partnership, Group Three winning Musidora was purchased by bloodstock agent Mark Pilkington and will go back into work with her previous trainer David Hayes for a scheduled spring campaign in Melbourne.

"She's a filly who David (Hayes) has a very high opinion of," Pilkington said.

"And he thinks there's a very bright future ahead for her before eventually heading to stud."

Musidora comes from an outstanding female family featuring champion Australian sires Encosta de Lago and Flying Spur.
