G1 plan for unbeaten Galileo filly
2nd June 2008
Sub Rose (3f Galileo-Amazing Krisken, by Kris S) made it two wins from two starts at Chantilly on Sunday when running out an impressive three-length winner of the G3 Prix de Royaumont.
Alain de Royer-Dupre’s charge, who is owned by 6c Racing, swooped to the lead in the final furlong of the mile and a half contest and she now has some big targets.
"I like this filly a lot. She lacks experience but has been working very well with some of my best horses so I knew that she had talent," said de Royer-Dupre. "We will now probably aim her at the G2 Prix de Malleret and she could go to Ireland for the G1 Irish Oaks and then maybe the G1 Prix Vermeille. She has excellent speed but switches off a little bit in the early part of her races. She stays really well and quickens up impressively."
Sub Rose was bred by Azienda Agricola Rosati Colarieti and sold for 200,000 euros as a yearling to France Pur Sang at the SGA Sale in Milan.
