$680,000 for Encosta Filly

A gorgeous bay filly by Encosta de Lago fetched $680,000 on the opening day of the 2008 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale on the Gold Coast to be the second highest priced lot of the session.

Offered for sale by Swettenham Stud as Lot 101 and knocked down to Emerald Thoroughbreds, the filly is the second foal of Group One winning Danehill mare Larrocha.

Larrocha was recently purchased by Tom Magnier for $1,375,000 at the Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale in foal to Encosta de Lago and carrying a full sibling to this filly.
