Royal Ascot for Unnefer
27th May 2008
Danehill Dancer’s latest stakes success came at Newmarket on Saturday when the Niarchos family’s home-bred Unnefer (3c Danehill Dancer-Mimalia, by Silver Hawk) justified odds-on favouritism in the Listed Fairway Stakes.
The Henry Cecil-trained three-year-old took the lead before the furlong marker to beat Pampas Cat by a cosy length.
"We will have to talk to Henry but he could go for the (Listed) Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot, all being well," said the Niarchos Family’s racing manager Alan Cooper.
"There is also a G2 - the Guillaume D'Ornano - that Multidimensional won two years which we’d like to consider. But that is still two and a half months away. He is a very nice horse, who goes very easily and has a lovely temperament."
Danehill Dancer went on to complete a double at Newmarket when the well-bred Resurge (3c Danehill Dancer-Resurgence, by Polar Falcon) took the well-contested mile maiden in Cheveley Park Stud’s colours.
Jeremy Noseda’s charge is a sibling to the G1 winner Araafa (5h Mull Of Kintyre-Resurgence, by Polar Falcon).
