US Stakes-Winner for Rock

Classy mare Genuine Devotion (4m Rock of Gibraltar x Starlight Dreams, by Black Tie Affair) made a winning return to the track in her first appearance this year, taking the Listed Upper Noosh Stakes at Belmont over six furlongs on turf by a length and a quarter.A stakes-winner at her last outing back in October when successful in the Xtra Heat Stakes on the same track, the Kiaran McLaughlin trained Genuine Devotion now has the overall record of four wins from seven starts.
Genuine Devotion was purchased for $90,000 at the 2005 Keeneland September Yearling Sale and is from the Black Tie Affair mare Starlight Dreams, a half-sister to stakes-winner Matahif, from the family of Arc winner Sakhee.
Her sire Rock of Gibraltar has been enjoying a great run of success right around the world with stakes-winners in Australia, Japan and Europe as well as the US.
