Another Tale of the Cat Stakes-Winner

Talented mare Ashley’s Kitty (4m Tale of the Cat x Pretty 'n' Smart, by Beau Genius) turned in her best performance in some time when capturing the Listed Desert Stormer Handicap at Hollywood on the all weather surface over the weekend.

She settled in fourth place for much of the six furlong race before powering home to win by half a length taking her record to five wins from 11 starts with prizemoney of $237,038.

Trained by Ted West for Oak West Farm, Ashley’s Kitty is already a stakes-winner having won the Group Three Railbird Stakes at Hollywood last May.

Ashley’s Kitty is from the Group Two placed Beau Genius mare Pretty ‘n’ Smart, a half-sister to Group Three winner Hostess.

Ashley’s Kitty is the fifth North American stakes-winner for Tale of the Cat this year joining Group One winner Tale of Ekati along with Tytus, Meal Penalty and Jolie the Cat.
