Another Brilliant Winner for Lion Heart

17th May 2008

Exciting young sire Lion Heart posted his fourth winner at Belmont on Friday when talented colt Silent Valor (2c Lion Heart x Few Choice Words, by Valid Appeal) bolted away to win the five furlong juvenile event by six and a quarter lengths.

The Todd Pletcher trained colt improved from his debut second at Keeneland on April 18, to score a runaway victory with another Lion Heart in Trusting Heart finishing in third place.

Raced by the Lets Go Stable, Silent Valor was purchased for $320,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale and is a half-brother to stakes-winner Miss Jeanne Cat and Group Three placed Well Said being from the Valid Appeal mare Few Choice Words.

Silent Valor joins previous winners Pride, Hostile and Azul Leon to give Lion Heart four individual first crop winners.
