English Stakes-Winner for Van Nistelrooy

Smart filly Raymi Coya (3f Van Nistelrooy x Something Mon, by Maria’s Mon) was back in the winners list at York on Friday when she saluted in the Listed Michael Seely Memorial Fillies Stakes over one mile.A Group Three winner last year, the Marco Botti trained filly dug deep to score a tenacious win, her third from five starts.
Purchased for a meagre 16,000 guineas from the Tattersalls 2YO’s in Training Sale, Raymi Coya is a half-sister to stakes-placed Olympia Fields from Something Mon, a daughter of US Group One winner Try Something New.
Connections of Raymi Coya are considering a variety of options for her including the Group Two German 1000 Guineas at Dusseldorf June 1, the June 20 Group One Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot and Group Two Prix Sandringham at Chantilly June 1.
