$300,000 for 2YO’s by Lion Heart and FuPeg

At the Barretts May Two Year Olds in Training Sale in California this week both Fusaichi Pegasus and Lion Heart starred with a colt and filly fetching $300,00 apiece.

Fusaichi Pegasus featured as sire of Lot 138, a colt from the stakes-winner Majestic Legend that was knocked down to Stonestreet Stables when offered for sale by Ricky Leppala.

Closely related to champion two year-old colt and Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense, he was a successful pinhook having been originally purchased for $30,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Lot 214 from Havens Bloodstock Agency, a filly from Rokeby Rosie, was the star for Lion Heart also secured by Stonestreet Stables.

From a half-sister to champion filly Silverbulletday and also to the dam of Group One winner Forest Secrets, the Lion Heart filly proved another successful pinhook having been purchased as a yearling for just $15,000 at the Fasig Tipton October Sale.
