Scat Daddy to Coolmore Australia
11th May 2008
Coolmore have announced another hot new stallion prospect to join its Australian roster for 2008.Scat Daddy, the best son of World Champion 2YO Johannesburg, was a Group 1 winner at 2 and 3 years, winning the Champagne Stakes, Fountain of Youth Stakes and Sanford Stakes like the top class sires Dehere and Forty Niner.
Scat Daddy is from the exceptional Storm Cat sire line and he is out of a Mr Prospector mare as are the champion sires Tale of the Cat and Flying Spur.
“Scat Daddy was a brilliantly fast Group 1 winning 2 and 3 year old, with all the right credentials to become a top class sire. I was very impressed with his good looks and great walk when I saw him at Ashford earlier in the year; he should really appeal to Australian breeders.
We are delighted to introduce another exciting sire prospect to the roster at Coolmore Australia, along with Dylan Thomas and Excellent Art, two of the finest racehorses in Europe in 2007,” said Coolmore Australia Manager, Michael Kirwan.
His fee has been set at $16,500 (incl. GST).
