Another hot cat

28th April 2008

There was more success for One Cool Cat’s first crop at Brighton on Sunday when the William Jarvis-trained Smokey Storm (2c One Cool Cat-Marisa, by Desert Sun) landed a gamble to take the opening five-furlong maiden - a race in past years captured by the likes of Group performers Seazun and Hurricane Alan.

The 22,000 guineas yearling, who was bred by P V and Mrs J P Jackson, had progressed from his debut at Windsor earlier in the month and could now bid for black-type glory

"He’s a bonny little colt and he could end up running in the Listed Woodcote Stakes at Epsom on Derby Day as he has handled this track well," said Jarvis.
