Solid Sale for Rock of Gibraltar

Fresh from siring his 30th stakes-winner worldwide at Rosehill last Saturday in Book of Kells, Rock of Gibraltar enjoyed solid results at the 2008 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale with 21 yearlings averaging $246,190.

Best result for Rock of Gibraltar was the half-sister to Group Two STC Silver Slipper winner Ballybleue who made $550,000 to the bid of Anthony Cummings when offered for sale by Coolmore Stud as Lot 1.

His next best results were a colt from Princess Stacey that made $520,000 for Coolmore Stud when purchased by South African trainer Charles Laird and a colt from champion two year-old filly Hasna that made $500,000 for Corumbene Stud with Katsumi Yoshida the successful bidder.
