Carriage Trail Takes the G3 Doubledogdare

Carriage Trail (Giant's Causeway -- Manoa, by Seeking the Gold) came off of a mere nine-day layoff to win the Grade 3 Doubledogdare Stakes at Keeneland Friday. The five-year-old mare, owned and bred by Stuart Janney III and Phipps Stable, vied for the lead throughout and drew away in the final turn. "When she cornered for home, she just took flight and started reaching for the wire," said winning jockey Kent Desormeaux. Carriage Trail has now won more than $228,000 in her career.
