Fastnet Rock on Fire

Freshman sire Fastnet Rock proved popular with buyers during the opening session of the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale with 10 yearlings averaging $362,000 led by a slashing colt from Fragmentation that made $800,000 when secured by John Hawkes.

Offered for sale by Highgrove Stud as Lot 115, the powerful bay colt is the second foal of Fragmentation, who is a Listed winner of four races by outstanding broodmare sire Snippets.

Also starring for Fastnet Rock was Stratheden Stud’s colt from the stakes-winning mare Calming that made $610,000 to the bid of Les Samba when offered as Lot 20.
