Heroic Cat Rolls in Debut

Heroic Cat (Tale of the Cat -- Best Mate, by Woodman) made good on his recent sharp workouts by rolling to a 2 3/4-length victory in his debut at Oaklawn. Despite being a 30-1 longshot, the 3-year-old stalked the leader in the opening quarter, then ran past him in the stretch to easily take the 6-furlong contest.
