Encosta Rules at Premier

4th March 2008

Leading sire Encosta de Lago started his rise to fame at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale when he launched his career from Blue Gum Farm after retiring in 1997 and it’s great to see him still rule the roost in Victoria.

Encosta de Lago ended the 2008 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale as the leading sire by average with six yearlings averaging $241,667.

The highlight for Encosta came on Monday when his filly from Almighty Sister fetched $490,000 to the bid of Heritage Bloodstock to be the top selling filly at Premier this year for Ultra Thoroughbreds as Lot 318.
