Catcher in the Rye Colt Tops NZB Festival Day One

A colt by Catcher in the Rye topped the opening session of the 2008 NZB Festival Yearling Sale in New Zealand on Sunday when knocked down to Dreambig Thoroughbreds for $80,000.Offered by Bluegables Farm as Lot 1342, the bay colt is a half-brother to champion NZ two year-old Thriller being from the good producing Taufan mare Laundrette.
The oldest Southern Hemisphere bred progeny of Catcher in the Rye are two year-olds and he is already the sire of a winner in Onethingatatime.
