Storm Cat’s dual Group One winning son One Cool Cat proved the gun among New Zealand based first season sires at the 2008 NZB Premier Yearling Sale, his 24 yearlings averaging $192,708.His stars included Lot 82, the Cambridge Stud bred and sold filly from Diamond Cashel that made $925,000 to the bid of Nathan Tinkler’s Patinack Farm.
She was the top seller on day one of the sale and at the conclusion of proceedings remained the most expensive filly (pictured) sold at Karaka this year.
Other stars for One Cool Cat were the half-sister to Group Two winner La Sizeranne from Zabeel mare Tricia Ann, who made $640,000 for Cambridge Stud on Tuesday again knocked down to Patinack Farm.
One Cool Cat shuttles to Cambridge Stud in New Zealand for his Southern Hemisphere season and his stock have been extremely well received at this sale and are widely tipped as forward types to be up and running early.
