16th January 2008

The brilliant Dylan Thomas - a new addition to the Coolmore roster in 2008 - was officially recognised for his superb efforts in 2007 in the World Thoroughbred Rankings by being rated the best older middle-distance horse on the planet.

The son of Danehill, who was given a rating of 129, was also named Horse of The Year at the 2007 Cartier Racing Awards after a season that included victories in the G1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, G1 Irish Champion Stakes and G1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

The six-time G1 winner was described by jockey Kieren Fallon as the best horse he has ever ridden and will stand for a fee of €50,000 in 2008.
