Cowboy Cal Captures G3 Tropical Park Derby

Cowboy Cal (Giant's Causeway -- Texas Tammy, by Seeking the Gold) kept his record perfect on grass with a two-length victory in the G3 Tropical Park Derby at Calder on Tuesday. The three-year-old colt followed up his win in the Laurel Futurity with by taking command in the turn and drawing away to take the 1 1/8-mile test. Cowboy Cal now has three wins in four starts and has earned over $183,000.
