Guineas plan for Spinning World’s impressive Newmarket stakes winner

5th November 2007

Spinning World filly Spinning Lucy (2f Spinning World-Dolara, by Dolphin Street) was a hugely-impressive stakes winner at Newmarket on Friday when landing the Listed EBF Bosra Sham Fillies’s Stakes effortlessly under jockey Michael Hills.

The 130,000 euros Goffs Million yearling, who was bred by Patrick Cummins, had won a maiden by five lengths on her previous start.

"She has early pace and a good cruising speed so it was always the plan to ride her from the front and she picked up well," said Charlie Hills, whose father Barry trains the filly. "She’s a pretty straightforward filly so hopefully she’ll have a nice winter and we might bring her back for one of the Guineas trials at the beginning of next year."
