St Leger winner for Night Shift

29th October 2007

Night Shift had his latest black-type victory in Milan on Sunday when the John Dunlop-trained Spanish Hidalgo (3c Night Shift-Spanish Lady, by Bering) captured the Listed Premio St Leger Milano by a length and three-quarters.

Windflower Overseas Holdings’ home-bred had finished second in the Listed Noel Murless Stakes at Newmarket on his previous start and looks a colt on the upgrade.

He continues a good season for Night Shift, who - according to Racing Post statistics - currently boasts an admirable 40 per cent winners to runners ratio this season in Britain and Ireland.
