Oprah Winney Makes It Two in a Row in Schenectady H.
10th September 2007
Oprah Winney (Royal Academy -- Mere Presence, by Woodman) turned in a dominating performance in the Schenectady Handicap at Belmont on Sunday for her second stakes win in a row. The four-year-old filly, who won the Regret Stakes on August 5, opened up a 6-length lead in the stretch and was hand-ridden out to win the 6-furlong Schenectady by 3 1/4 lengths. Oprah Winney, who has now won more than $577,000 in her career, appears to be pointed towards the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint at Monmouth Park.
