G1 next for Spinning World filly

9th September 2007

Last year’s G1 Sun Chariot Stakes was won in scintillating fashion by the Spinning World filly Spinning Queen (4f Spinning World-Our Queen Of Kings, by Arazi), who was subsequently sold for 3 million guineas, and the sire looks set to be represented in the 2007 event by Harvest Queen (4f Spinning World-Royal Bounty, by Generous).

Peter Makin’s charge, home-bred by Bakewell Bloodstock, was an easy winner of the Listed Superior Mile at Haydock on Saturday afternoon and will now bid for the Newmarket G1 next month.

"She is a class filly," said Makin. "I think she would have gone very close in the G3 Princess Elizabeth Stakes at Epsom but I gave (jockey) Seb Sanders the wrong instructions. Then the going at Ascot was terrible the last time she ran. She has just come back to herself and she will probably go for the G1 Sun Chariot now."
