Impressive winner for High Chaparral

6th September 2007

High Chaparral had a very smart first-crop debutant winner at San Siro in Milan on Wednesday when Senlis (2c High Chaparral-Senebrova, by Warning) took a 1,600 metre maiden by no less than four lengths.

Senlis, who was bred by Compagnia Generale, looks destined for big things and EBN reported: "Senlis romped home impressively in a time three seconds faster than the fillies, and could develop into a very interesting individual. His half-brother, the fine miler Stephant (Green Desert) won the Listed Premio Bereguardo and finished second in the Gr.2 Premio Emilio Turati."
