Rock yearling makes half million at Deauville

A Rock Of Gibraltar filly provided the second top price on day two of the Arqana August Yearling Sale in Deauville on Saturday when selling for 500,000 euros to trainer Jean de Roualle.

Out of the Efisio mare, Italian G3 winner Uruk, the filly was bred by Eric Puerari and Dominique Ades-Hazan and offered from Haras des Capucines.

"She looks a wonderful filly, with a very good vet’s report. She was my selection for today’s session. I like the stallion and it was important for us to buy her," said de Roualle, who was buying for Satwa Queen’s owner Steven Lamprell.
