Montjeu’s latest stakes winner Noble Prince to step up in class

13th August 2007

Trainer Andre Fabre plans to step the Montjeu colt Noble Prince (3c Montjeu-Noble Pearl, by Dashing Blade) up in grade after his smooth victory in the Listed Prix Michel Houyvet at Deauville on Sunday.

"This is a very decent horse who will be oriented toward group races for staying three-year-olds now," said Andre Fabre. "I think he will be even better in softer conditions and the G3 Prix de Lutece at Longchamp will probably be next and then the G2 Prix Jean Chaudenay (at Longchamp on October 6)."

Noble Prince, who was bred by Gestut Etzean, was bought for 230,000 guineas at the 2006 Breeze-Up Sale at Tattersalls.
