Choisir filly Kyniska could be G1 bound

13th August 2007

Trainer Tracey Collins reported on Sunday that she is considering a tilt at the G1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh on September 2 with first-crop Choisir filly Kyniska (2f Choisir-Lunadine, by Bering).

The filly, bred by Deer Forest Stud, made an impressive winning debut at Naas last Monday when taking a seven-furlong maiden in good style.

"She's in the Moyglare but I have to talk to the owners about it," said Collins. "She's a leggy filly and I will make my mind up much closer to the race."

Choisir also had a winner at Chepstow on Tuesday when Edge Of Gold (2f Choisir-Beveled Edge, by Beveled) scored for trainer Bryn Palling in a five-furlong maiden. The filly was bred by Christopher Mason.

According to statistics from Hyperion Promotions going up to August 8, Choisir was the leading two-year-old sire in Europe in prize money terms, with his own sire Danehill Dancer in second place.
