Safari shines for Catcher

The Lars Pearson-bred Safari Sunup (2c Catcher In The Rye-Buit Des Temps by Sadler’s Wells) became Catcher In The Rye’s eighth individual winner when capturing a seven-furlong maiden at Lingfield on Saturday night.

Trainer Peter Winkworth holds the colt, who took the lead a furlong out, in high regard.

"He was entitled to go well because he ran well on his debut and we think he’s a nice horse," said Eamon Murphy, representing the trainer.
