G2 win for mighty Montjeu

There was big-race glory for Montjeu at the Newmarket July Meeting on Thursday when Papal Bull (4c Montjeu-Mialuna by Zafonic) stayed on well to take the G2 Princess Of Wales’s Stakes by two and a half lengths.

Sir Michael Stoute’s charge, bred by B H and C F D Simpson, showed a touch of class to win the 12-furlong event easily.

"He is a very talented horse and when things fall his way he is right up there with the best of them," said jockey Ryan Moore.
