Impressive juvenile winner for Golan
13th July 2007
The Queen’s home-bred Golan juvenile Step Softly (2f Golan-Step Aloft by Shirley Heights) made a sparkling debut in a Folkestone maiden on Thursday night when scoring by an easy three lengths.
Richard Hannon’s charge was partnered by jockey Steve Drowne, who reported: "She clearly knows her job as she shows no sign of greenness and she did everything very maturely. She couldn’t have done it any more impressively and I guarantee her heart’s in the right place. She’s a nice filly with a bright future."
